IPA, the international Pre Pro and Post Biotic association released the 2025 end of year report
In 2025, the International Probiotics Association (IPA) reached an important inflection point in its evolution as the global voice of biotics. The year reflected both the growing complexity of the sector and the increasing expectations placed on IPA to lead through scientific integrity, regulatory alignment, and the development of credible global standards.
During the same period, IPA further strengthened its organisational structure. Established in 2015 in Brussels as the European chapter, IPA Europe aims to strengthen and consolidate the probiotic sector in Europe. In 2025, IPA also formally launched its China Office, recognising China as a strategically important and rapidly expanding market for probiotics, prebiotics, and postbiotics.
